A Continental Giltwood Settee
Probably German, Circa 1750
Height 40 x width 61 1/2 x depth 30 inches.
This lot is located in Chicago.
Condition
Seat height 16 1/2 inches. The seat rails all having original yellow wash except for the back rail. The underside center with a later cross strut; the back rail possibly original but re-planed. The back legs constructed without corner blocks. The underside with an old paper label reading Per Main 631 and another label. Dowel repair to the proper left front leg. Scattered inactive wood worm to the inside of the frame.
